Step by step example of editing a file.
Open your internet browser and go to www.chordie.com
Find a song.
Select the text you want to put in the editor.
Press CTRL C or right click on the selected text and choose copy.
Open lyricsEditor (can be done from the start menu or, if LyricsTextscroller is open, from the
Lyricstextscroller menu)
If started from the start menu the editing screen is empty.
If started from the LyricsTextScroller menu there may be text in this window, then click File, New.
Click on the editing screen.
Press CTRL V or right click and choose paste or click in the menu Edit on Paste.
The text from chordie.com appears in the window.
Place the title in the first line.
Leave at least one empty line between the title and the first line of the song or first line of chords.
Maybe a bit more of editing is needed to put the chords on the right place.
Click the menuitem ErrorCheck.
If no lines are colored red then the file is ready for opening in the scroller.
If one or more lines get red then the red line and the line above both are recognized as a lines of chords
which is not allowed. (See the instructions about recognizing lines of chords and lines of text in the help).
Save the file into a folder (or make a new folder) you want to have all lyrics in.
Start LyricTextScroller (LyricsTextScroller opens the browser) The browser opens the last opened folder
or the examples folder)
Click Open Folder and select the folder where you saved the new lyric.
Double click the lyric or select the lyric and press enter to open it.
The lyric starts scrolling after the delay-timer points 0 seconds.
To start scrolling immediately press the arrow-down key or click with the mouse wheel.
To reset the lyric press the arrow-up key.
To scroll through the text turn the mouse wheel.
